Performance Rugby Programme
Men's Rugby Programme
Our Men’s 1st XV Team competes in the BUCS Premier 2 North league, as well as in BUCS cup competitions and the annual Glasgow Varsity Rugby event, which takes place in front of over 3,500 spectators at Scotstoun Stadium.
The squad typically participates in three pitch sessions and two strength and conditioning sessions each week, and they compete on Wednesday afternoons at the first-class Garscube Sports Complex.
Women's Rugby Programme
Our Women's 1st XV competes in the BUCS Premier North League, as well as in BUCS cup competitions, as well as the Glasgow Varsity Rugby event, which is held annually in front of over 3,500 spectators at Scotstoun Stadium.
The squad typically participates in 2-3 pitch sessions and 2 strength and conditioning sessions each week, competing on Wednesday afternoons at our first-class Garscube Sports Complex.

- Sports Rehabilitation support on match days and access to weekly clinics
- Matches filmed using Veo and video analysis feedback
- GPS tracking and feedback on matchday data
- Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology workshops
- Enhanced support for travel and accommodation to away matches

Glasgow Women’s Rugby has been a massive part of my uni experience - I've made amazing friendships with teammates who constantly support and push each other to improve and go after every win. Our coaching team is outstanding, offering encouragement and guidance to players of all levels, whether you’ve played for years or are just starting out! We are all so excited for the new opportunities and challenges that our promotion to BUCS Premier North will bring for the 1XV.
